This first weekend in April will be a busy time with several great activities in Downtown Bryan! Beginning Thursday, April 6, Stagecenter will present Look Homeward Angel. The show continues Friday and Saturday evenings.
Along with the usual First Friday activities on April 7, the College Station Noon Lions Club will open their 3rd Annual Jazz Festival that evening at the Palace Theater. The Jazz Fest continues on Saturday, April 8.
The Downtown Street & Art Fair is Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the 200 block of W. 26th St. The Art Fair will be the largest yet, with more than 30 artists attending. This free event is a recognized activity for Texas A&M’s Family Weekend. A Kids Zone will include a bounce house and free kids art activities. From noon-3 p.m., Steamroller Printmaking will feature teams of artists creating designs cut into large pieces of linoleum, then inked by driving a large roller over the piece. Redtail Rental is providing the use of the roller for the day. Concessions, live music and other art activities will be available all day.
