Stephanie Quayle, who is one of Rolling Stone’s 2017 “Top 10 Artists to Watch,” will perform at the Spirit of Texas Festival. The three-day event, which is scheduled for March 23-25, will be held at College Station’s Wolf Pen Creek Park.
Quayle’s addition to the program speaks to the quality of performances planned for the festival. “We know that festival goers will love Stephanie’s music and appreciate the opportunity to watch a rising musical star in such as casual, family-friendly setting,” said Cynthia Caronna, the festival’s executive director. “We also will be offering a wide variety of musical genres — including country, gospel, cowboy, jazz, red dirt, funk, classical and Zydeco — on multiple stages.”
Quayle interest in music started early in life. She began to play the piano at the age of 4, added guitar to her repertoire as a teenager and soon after began singing in a band.
The singer has released two albums – “Ain’t No Housewife” in 2011 and “Love the Way You See Me” in 2017. Her music video of “Drinking with Dolly” topped the CMT Music 12 Pack and the single reached the Top 50 of the Billboard Indicator Chart. In 2017, Quayle released the single, “Winnebago,” to acclaim.
Quayle has performed on music stages alongside Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, Chase Rice, Granger Smith, Lee Brice and Jon Pardi. She also has performed at the Sundance Film Festival, NRA, Country Jam and CMA Music Festival, and been featured on Fox & Friends. In 2016, Quayle was named one of the Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star Top 5 finalists.
