I walked into Bryan-College Station’s new First Watch Daytime Cafe at about 12:30 PM on Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant was bustling. The hostess made eye contact with me and greeted me quickly. She told me it would be about five minutes before they could seat me.
I sat down and in less than five minutes she came back to get me to take me to my table. I had time to peruse the menu before my waiter came by with a full pot of coffee for me.
They even have real half-and-half for your coffee although it’s the “no refrigeration needed” type. I decided to order a summer special. I chose the smoked brisket hash with kale and roasted onions and two eggs, sunny side up.
